If you’re still having trouble completing something on our site—even after checking out the help article—no worries! Here are a few simple things you can try:

  • Try a different browser
    • Sometimes switching browsers (like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) can fix the issue. Certain settings, cookies, or cached data can interfere with how the site loads, and some browsers may work better than others.
  • Switch devices
    • If you’re on a phone or tablet, try using a desktop or laptop instead. While our site does work on mobile devices, some features perform best on a computer.
  • Give it a little time
    • Updates to your account or resume can take up to 30 minutes to show. If you don’t see your changes right away, check back after a bit.
  • Clear your cookies and cache
    • This can often resolve lingering issues. You can follow our step-by-step instructions here to clear them.

If you’re still running into trouble after trying these, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!

Having trouble with reCAPTCHA?

Try switching to a different browser (like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari). This often helps resolve the issue quickly.

Seeing a message that says “This Username/Email is already taken”?

First, check the top right corner of the page. If you see “Logout (Your Name)”, that means your account has already been successfully created. You can simply click “My Account” to access it.

If the message appears while you’re still typing, go ahead and finish entering your information—it may disappear once you’re done.

Still not seeing your name in the top right corner?

No problem—we’re happy to help! Just email us at support@christianjobs.com with your name and the email address you used, and we’ll take care of it for you.

If your payment isn’t going through, here are a few things you can try:

  1. Switch browsers or devices: Sometimes a quick change can fix the issue. Try using a different browser (like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari), or switch to a computer or tablet if you’re on a mobile device
  2. Double-check your card details: If you’re seeing an error that your card information isn’t correct, make sure:
  • The card number, type, CVV, and expiration date are entered correctly
  • The billing address matches the one where you receive your bank statement

Even if you’ve used a different address successfully elsewhere, our payment processor requires the exact billing address on file for security purposes.

If your card is being declined

We recommend contacting your bank using the number on the back of your card. Sometimes they may flag the transaction if it doesn’t look like a typical purchase for you.

If you’re still having trouble, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!

In most cases, applying for a job on ChristianJobs.com requires you to create a free account and upload your resume before submitting your application. The good news is that registration and resume posting are both quick and straightforward.

Occasionally, employers may include their own application instructions outside of the ChristianJobs.com system. If that’s the case, you’re welcome to follow those directions instead.

If you already have a prepared resume (Word, PDF, or another format), you can upgrade to a Premium Membership to upload it to your profile.

All users will complete their profile, which will serve as their resume. As you fill it out, be sure to copy and paste the content from your existing resume into the appropriate sections.

If you do not already have a prepared resume, we strongly recommend including the following information as you complete your profile:

  • Mission or objective
  • Education history
  • Work experience
  • Ministry experience
  • Awards and/or personal accomplishments
  • Skills

We offer a couple of options to help strengthen your resume, depending on the level of support you need. Through our partnership with professional resume writers, you’ll receive one-on-one guidance to improve your resume and better position yourself in your job search.

  1. Resume Writing – Save time and make a strong impression with a professionally crafted resume. Our team will write, format, and proofread your resume, delivering a polished final version in Microsoft Word that’s ready to send to prospective employers.
  2. Resume Tune-Up – Already have a resume? We’ll review it in detail and provide targeted recommendations you can quickly apply. You’ll learn how to better highlight your experience and qualifications so you stand out in a competitive church staffing environment.

After completing your purchase for Resume Writing or a Resume Tune-Up, you’ll receive an instructional email from a member of our team within 24 business hours outlining the next steps to get started.

You don’t need to upload a resume to get started. Simply fill out your profile information, this acts as your resume and is what employers will see when they view your account.

If you have a Premium Membership and would like to upload a resume file as well, you can do that anytime by following these steps:

  1. Click on your name
  2. Go to your Dashboard
  3. Select “Resume”
  4. Upload your resume file

This gives you the option to have both a completed profile and an attached resume available to employers.

  1. Hover over your name in the top right corner
  2. Click on Dashboard
  3. In the dashboard, click on Jobs
  4. Find your application — if it’s listed, it was successfully submitted

Follow these steps to upgrade or downgrade your Premium Membership:

Hover over your name in the top right-hand corner

Click Dashboard

Select Billing once you're in the dashboard

From there, choose to upgrade or downgrade your Premium Membership

Yes! Simply click the heart icon in the right-hand corner of any job to save it for later.

How do you view your saved jobs?

  1. Hover over your name in the top right corner
  2. Click Profile

  4. Click Save

Tip: If you are a basic member, your profile serves as your resume. If you are a premium member, you can click Resumes in the right-hand menu to upload a resume file.

  1. Click on Post a Job in the top right corner and select the posting option of your choice.
  2. Click Continue, then fill in the required fields with information for your job posting.
  3. Click Next and complete the location information, then click Next again to fill out the compensation information.
  4. Continue by selecting all categories that apply to your open position and click Next.

  6. Click Next, check the box agreeing to the terms and conditions, then click Save & Continue.
  7. Finally, confirm the items in your cart are correct, click Checkout, and enter your payment information to post your job.

Pro Tip: Bulleted lists have been shown to perform best!

A job title is the name of the position you’re hiring for. It helps job seekers quickly understand the role. For example: Senior Pastor, Children’s Director, Media Assistant, or Preschool Director.

We offer some great job packages for churches that have multiple positions to fill. Each posting is automatically discounted compared to the single-post rate—and the more you purchase at once, the more you save.

One of the best parts is the flexibility. You’ll have up to 6 months to use each one-month posting, so if you know you’ll be hiring again soon, you can purchase a package now and use the postings whenever you need them.

You can also mix and match how you use your postings. For example, with a six-job package, you could run two jobs for two months each and two additional jobs for one month each. It’s all about giving you options that work best for your hiring needs!

To help protect our job seekers and their personal information, all new employer accounts go through a brief approval process after their first purchase.

During this time, a member of our team will review your account details, and in some cases, may reach out to your organization to confirm everything is legitimate. This step helps us maintain a safe and trustworthy experience for everyone on our platform.

The approval process typically takes 1–2 business days. Once your account is approved for resume database access, you won’t need to go through this process again—and any future access will be available right away.

Here are a few helpful tips to make your job posting stand out:

Be specific

Job seekers want a clear picture of the role. The more details you provide, the easier it is for them to decide if they’re a good fit—and more likely to apply.

Use lists instead of long paragraphs

While details are important, formatting matters too. Bullet points and headers make your post easier to read and less overwhelming.

We recommend clearly outlining:

  • Job duties
  • Responsibilities
  • Qualifications
  • Expectations

Share about your organization

Candidates aren’t just choosing a job—they’re choosing where they’ll serve or work. Be sure to include details about your organization, complete your company profile, and add your website so they can learn more about you.

By default, job seekers will apply through the ChurchStaffing application system by submitting their resume and cover letter. Each time someone applies, both documents will be sent directly to the email address listed on your job posting.

From there, you’re free to follow up with applicants using whatever communication method works best for you.

If you’d prefer applicants to apply in a different way, you can simply include those instructions in your job description.

ChurchStaffing.com offers a variety of helpful tools to make your hiring process easier and more effective. From background checks and personality assessments to recruiting services, expert tips, and recommended hiring resources—we’re here to support you every step of the way.

To explore all of these tools, just visit our Hiring Tools page.

You’ll find everything in one place to help you make confident hiring decisions.

If you’re not sure whether your job was successfully posted, here are a couple of easy ways to check:

Check your account

The best place to confirm is in the “My Job Postings” section of your account.

When your job is active, you’ll see:

  • A green “Active” label
  • A number listed under “Post Days Left” (for example, 30 days)
  • Your job listed with a posted date

If you’re seeing all of those, your job is live on the site.

If you’re not quite ready to post a job, you can still get a head start by searching for candidates using our Resume Database access.

To purchase Resume Database access, just follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account on ChristianJobs.com
  2. Click “Find Resumes” in the navigation bar at the top of the page
  3. Follow the prompts to complete your subscription purchase

If this is your first purchase with ChristianJobs, your order will go through a brief approval process for security purposes, which can take up to 24 business hours.

Once your account is approved, you’ll be able to start searching resumes and connecting with candidates who fit your needs.

Good luck with your search!
